Do CRVs really result in more recycling?

    The California Redemption Value (CRV), a fee for recycling charged to beverage distributors, did result in a noticeable increase in recycling.  In 2007, 14.7 billion cans and bottles were recycled, which was a 1.5 billion (and a 7 percent) increase from 2006.
