Do companies that switch to being green save money?

In the long run, companies that switch to being green can save money. They can do so by using less energy and consuming less. If they do better upkeep of their equipment, that means they depreciate slower and last longer, which is green and saves money. If a company converts to renewable energy, though the start-up cost is large at first, over the long run they will certainly save money. Not only will switches save them money, but many companies that use being green as one of their cornerstones are able to attract a wider, more concerned consumer base.
