Do cities have to designate land for wildlife?

    I do not believe this is done at the city level. Most states evaluate the need for land specificly for wildlife. Typically, land is not designated for animals unless the animals are deemed endangered or threatened. For Texas, the agency that manages wildlife is the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
