Do building inspectors check LEED certified buildings?

Yes, building inspectors still check LEED certified buildings. The inspectors, however, are checking for many issues not necessarily associated with LEED that protect the health and well-being of the public the building will affect. Those who verify LEED credits are realized are often hired by the architect/owner and not employed by a municipality, like building inspectors are.
