Do bears shed their fur like dogs do?

Bears, like dogs, shed fur for the summer and then grow it back in time for the fall. However, domestic dogs are often confused over the season, due to the heating and artificial light within their homes. This can cause them to molt out of season. This is not a natural phenomena, and does not occur in wild bears.
