Do areas with undefined borders, like the Himalayas, have problems with environmental protection?

    Yes, there are numerous areas with undefined problems that suffer from a myriad of environmental problems. There are several reasons. 1) Environmental problems do not respect political boundaries. Water pollution and air pollution, for example, can cross state and country boundaries, one which may have a more effective pollution control measures than another. 2) Environmental problems are increasingly bigger problem in areas of poverty and/or political unrest. In these cases, countries may have problems maintaining environmental protection when human safety is at a bigger issue.
