Yes, Baltimore has an electric car share program. It is the first of its kind in the US. The cars are made by Electrovaya and the model is the Maya 300. It includes many ammenities one would expect in a car sharing service, and cars can travel 120 miles per charge. The company is not part of ZipCar, but hopes to see it catch on in other cities across the US. The cars can be rented at Altcar.org for $7.50 an hour.
The Daimler Car2Go Car Sharing program is in Austin, and recently Parking and Transportation Services partnered up with Zipcar to provide a car sharing program to faculty, staff and students.
