Do any plants live underground?

Not exactly, but the roots of almost all plants do, and some vegetables like carrots and potatoes grow underground with their leafy parts on top. Mushrooms can grow with no light, so could theoretically grown underground. All green and flowering plants require sunlight.

There is actually a plant in Nambia that grows under the sand. It even flowers from under the sand and only sends up a small shoot above ground. This is obviously very unique among plants that need sunlight in order to conduct photosynthesis.
