Do any cultures consider the Earth as masculine?

This article seems to suggest that, at the very least, some Christian groups might resent the consideration of the Earth as exclusively feminine.

Certain Native American cultures have a conception of the Earth as a masculine figure, broken down into nine separate elements that together make one “Father Earth” figure. These include Father Sky (a representation of the sky), The Green Man (an Earth metaphor), adaptations of the Greek forms Icarus and Daedalus (representing father-son relationships), Hunter-gatherers (as workers and create peoples), Spiritual warriors (as energy directors and leaders), Masculine Sexuality (as creation and reproduction), Grandfather Sky (the cosmos), Cosmic and Animal Bodies (interconectedness of different species), and The Blue Man (as a guiding and central figure most closely approximating love).
