Yes, cars can run on propane, and in fact, have been doing so for about 60 years! Propane is a by-product of natural gas processing and petroleum refining. It emits far less pollution than natural gas! Propane-run vehicles get about the same gas mileage as conventional gas cars, but there is far less wear and tear on the engines. To check out these vehicles, you don’t have to look far–check out certain Dodge Ram trucks, Ford Crown Victorias, Toyota Camrys, Chevy Caviliers, and Ford’s F-150 Series Pickup.
