Do Americans want a climate bill in the United States?

  1. 0 Votes

Reactions to climate legislation in the U.S. are vary significantly. Although around 42% of Americans think that the climate change bill that passed the house in June would hurt the economy, that answer was influenced by party line. Around 52& of Republicans think climate legislation will hurt the economy, and 52% of those adults affiliated with neither party have the same reaction. However, 30% of dems think the climate change bill will help the economy. These numbers suggest one thing overwhelmingly–that people don’t understand the importance of taking action to stop climate change.
