Firstly, if you’re asking if the individual American goes to city parks more often today than in the past, I am not aware of any official statistics citing this change in percentage, though I’m inclined to say that they probably do. Today over 25 million visitors go to New York’s Central Park each year. However, this statistic is more indicative of a rising world population — there are more people available to go to parks. Attaining the data for a per-capita frequency of visit would be quite difficult to obtain…survey, perhaps?
