Do all fish use currents to travel?

    No, although most every species of fish does at least occassionally use currents for purposes of speed, convenience, and energy conservation. Most fish have it in them to swim against the current through coordinated movements of their trunk and fins, and all fish can swim in calm waters with no currents.
