Do all crabs live in water?

Yes, all crabs must have some access to water to survive, otherwise they dry out and die. However, some crabs, such as the blue land crab, can live up to 5 miles inland for a short period of time. All crabs must return to the ocean to drink and spawn, but this crab will travel for miles to lay its eggs. When the eggs hatch, however, the small crabs make the long journey toward the sea.
