do all bees make honey?

No: out of hundreds of species of bees, there are only six that make an appreciable amount of honey, which is their way of storing the sugar in nectar so they will always have it in abundance. Bumblebees can also make honey, but they make only a little for an emergency store of food. The rest simply drink the nectar for fuel as they are flying, but do not store it.
