Do Africanized honey bees pollinate crops like regular honey bees do?

Yes. In fact the reason the Africanized bee was introduced in America was because of its higher honey production and its more efficient crop pollination tendencies. In both honey production and pollination the Africanized bee is about 20% more efficient then the European honey bee. Because of these traits bee keepers in South America are trying to breed gentler varieties of the Africanized bee and therefore gain a competitive edge.
