In all truth, there is no research supporting the amazing benefits touted by the marketing of the Brazilian Acai berry. Acai definitely has many benefits such as its antioxidant contents, but no one should exclusively rely on it for weight loss. Most fruits however will assist in losing fat if added to a WELL BALANCED diet.
Acai berries contain antioxidants that can protect us from free radicals and possibly some ailments such as heart diseases and cancer. “But when it comes to weight loss, the hype is ahead of the science, because the research evidence for such a connection is lacking… Acai can be part of a weight loss plan that includes a calorie-controlled diet, but by itself, it’s just another fruit.” To really lose weight, a person has to go through a strict diet and exercise regularly. Acai berries aren’t the miracle fruits that the media claims them to be. They can help, but they can’t do all the work for us when it comes to weight loss.
