One of the only pieces of evidence we have to suggest that the Romans used terrace farming are the remains in Nazareth Village. Experts have confirmed that it was used during the Roman Pieriod and that the agricultural flattening of the hills mean that it was possibly used in the terracing-style.
The Romans were gifted when it came to gardening, utilizing concepts of hydroponics and hanging plants in the hanging gardens of Babylon. Hope I helped, and have a green day!
