There certainly were Celtic people in Italy. The Romans can in contact with them and these interactions were recorded by Livy in his The Early History of Rome. The first link below contains some excerpts from this text. Now these people do not appear to have been indigenous to Italy if that is what you are asking. They probably migrated from Central Europe along trade routes.
