No, the housing crisis, derivative markets, and plethora of debt have nothing to do with global warming. If climate change becomes severe, and we continue to see radical weather patterns in the future, it could have adverse effects on the economy. But the current recession was in no way whatsoever linked to global warming.
Though all things are tied together over-all, in this case, not really. However, the political right would love if this became a popular idea. No, the recession came from greed and the further ‘monetization of money.’ That is, gambling on gamblers and individual games, so to speak. Loose laws have allowed some business persons to go beyond mere money-gathering, to the end that it has hurt everyone.
