Yes, the Coca-Cola plant built for “plastic bottle-to-bottle recycling” had its grand opening in January 2009, about two years after plans were announced. It is part of Coke’s massive “Give it Back” program, an advertising campaign to remind customers that it’s important to recycle Coca-Cola bottles and cans. In addition to providing about 100 jobs, it is estimated that in ten years, the plant will prevent an amount of carbon being released that is equivalent to taking 215,000 cars off the road.
