The amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide increased in 2009. Here are the stats taken from the Mauna Loa Observatory in Hawaii:

In 2007, the annual atmospheric carbon dioxide was 383.71 parts per million.

    2008: 385.57 ppm

    2009: 387.35 ppm

The atmospheric carbon dioxide continues to increase in 2010. This July, the concentration was 390.09 ppm, which is several ppm higher than the July concentrations in 2008 and 2009.
