As usual in politics it is possible to find articles from the media or publications from various associations that make both arguments regarding this question. In public, President Bush was committed to renewable energy in battling what he described as our addiction to oil. But there are some groups who believe he pushed for renewable energy budget cuts and rejected bipartisand efforts to set goals for renewable energy.
Well, the Bush administration certainly didn’t do much to promote renewable energy. If we think back on the past 8 years not much as been said about renewable energy during that time, all we could hear about was oil. Compared to now, when going green and renewable is a hot topic. Also green organizations criticized the Bush administration for having conflicts of interest on energy policy.
