Diamonds are the hardest natural mineral and are cut using cleaving, sawing or laser cutting. A diamond cutter places the diamond firmly in a holder for cleaving purposes. However, diamond cutters typically use sawing or cutting with lasers more often than cleavers.
The hardest stone knownto us now is Lonsdaleite and wurzite boron nitrade. They are both naturally occuring but very rare in nature.
