Is the dew that forms on my grass almost every morning enough to keep it alive without watering it?

The dew alone is probably not enough to keep your grass alive; whether or not you need to water your grass would depend on the rain, temperature, and type of grass you have. Typically grass needs 6-8 inches of ground moisture, and dew rarely tends to amount to more than half a millimeter. Healthy grass needs to be thoroughly soaked about every two to three days.
