Is deforestation making it hard for the people that live in the rainforest to survive?

Yes deforestation of the rain forest is creating problems for the native people of the area.  As we advance our heavy equipment into their lands, we bring with us new diseases for which the natives have no immunities.  The removal of trees leads to soil erosion and water pollution, making it more difficult and more dangerous to grow food in the area.  Also, the native people use the rain forest for all of their medicine, and as deforestation occurs they either lose different kinds of medicine or they must search farther away to find what they need.
