Comparative Politics is a methodology used for understanding and interpreting political situations in Political Science. Comparative politics is based in an empirical approach which determines the “how” and not the “what” of any given political issue, this means comparative politics is defined by the method not the object of its study. The comparative part of comparative politics means that the concepts or methods are applicable in more than one country.
