Is dark or light soda worse for your teeth?

The color of the soda is pretty insignifact. The thing that is really bad in soda for your teeth is sugar, so I would say the amount of sugar most directly coorelates to bad oral health.

When it comes down to it, all soda is very bad for your teeth. Not only are sodas loaded with sugar, they also contain acids that can eat away at your teeth and cause decay. So even though diet sodas do not have the same sugar content, they are just as much of a problem because of the acidity.

But if you have to chose between the lesser of two evils, dark soda is the way to go. A study at the University of Baltimore, Maryland Dental School found that light-colored sodas are worse than the dark-colored beverages. Researchers found that the light-colored sodas caused 2-5 times more damage to teeth than cola drinks. The worst? Mountain Dew.
