Could we grow gold fish for a source of food?

    Theoretically, yes. Goldfish are just an ornamental breed of carp, just like Koi. These fish grow as big as their habitat allows them. If they’re in a little tank, they’ll stay little and not make a very substantive meal. If they have a big pond/lake, then they’ll grow up to 2 feet and you could feed a small army (see the pictures of koi…they are meaty).

    I’ve never eaten carp…but they’re sort of garbage fish and they might not taste too great. But yes, you could raise them for food
