Could forests grow back after being hit by napalm?

Napalm can have many damaging effects on a forest environment. These were well documented during its use in the Vietnam War in which entire plots of forest were torched to flush out enemies. The fires usually destroy all plant and animal life and chemical taint much of the area. Despite this, fire is an excellent way to renew resources in a forest and many areas have begun to regrow into the forests they once were.
