Is cotton or hemp more absorbent?

According to most sources, hemp is not only more absorbant than cotton, but it’s softer, more insulating, and lasts longer than most fabrics. Many of these properties come from the fact that hemp fibers are longer and more durable than those of cotton. Many eco-friendly companies will make towels and wipes at least partly of hemp, because of this absorbancy and because growing hemp uses fewer pesticides.
