Is copper a better metal to recycle than Aluminum?

Both copper and aluminium are 100% recyclable. But aluminium is the second most recycled metal, followed by copper, while iron is the first. Both copper and aluminium is widely used in their recycled forms, in fact in Europe 40% of copper demand is met by using recycled copper, while aluminium, also in Europe, has an average of above 70% recycle rate. Both are also cheaper to recycle and maintain their original properties even after recycling. But recycled aluminium only uses about 5% of the energy needed to excavate while copper uses around 10%.
