The Copenhagen climate conference generated a worldwide response and re-committment to solving the issues caused by climate change.  In the Copenhagen Accord, thirty six industrialized countries and fifty one developing countries committeed to reducing their carbon emissions to target goals.  It was an act of international collaboration and will instigate changes in domestic laws to meet these goals.
