Coffee is beneficial in moderation – like a lot of things, really – and is generally fine if you consume “a few cups a day.” However, it does contain caffeine which is an addictive stimulant. “And coffee has modest cardiovascular effects such as increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, and occasional irregular heartbeat.” Basically, if you don’t go overboard, coffee won’t adversely affect your health and you may even see some genuinely good developments (such as increased cognitive function and a reduced chance of colon cancer).

Coffee is acidic, which can degrade your teeth just like sour candy. It also stains them, which although not harmful, is a bit unsightly.
