Chipotle tries to buy “Food with Integrity,” which, among other things, includes buying from family farms. If you go to their website, you can see where they get their meat products from.
Yes, Chipotle has done several things to try to better support their farmers. The company has participated in and donated to FarmAid on a few occasions, a non-profit organization that promotes small farms in the US. In Septermber of 2009, Chipotle also made an agreement with East Coast Farms, pledging to pay the chain’s tomato farmers 64% more. These are just of few of Chipotle’s efforts, a company who’s motto is “Serving food with integrity.”
