Is the Chinese government doing anything to protect the panda bear?

Over the past few decades, the Chinese government, in partnership with other organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund, has been creating new nature preserves to increase the connectivity of the bamboo forest which serves as the panda’s primary habitat. The Chinese government has also played a role researching panda habitat, behavior and ecology, which better enables managers to protect the panda.
