Yes, China has been spending money trying to develop anelectric vehicle infrastructure. One of the largest projects opened at the Universiade Center in Shenzhen last year. Two charging stations were installed, along with 134 pole chargers throughout the town. The pole chargers are meant for longer, overnight charging, while the stations are supposed to be faster. It cost $41.5 million US dollars to build, and is now considered a “landmark green building project” by the Green Car Congress.
