Can you generate power from rain water?

I live in the great northwest specifically the Seattle area where rain is a fairly common occurence, is there a way to harvest the power of the rain pouring through your gutter like hydropower o and would it be able to genrare a reasonable amount of power.

Yes! Scientists in France have been able to convert the mechanical force produced by falling raindrops into electricity. One raindrop can generate up to 12 milliwatts of power.
