Can you extract honey from a wild beehive?

You can, but it’s probably best to leave it to professional beekeepers in your area. If you still want to try it yourself, be sure to wear protective clothing and gloves, bring something to make a fire with, and something sharp to break open the hive and cut out the honeycomb with. First, you should make a smoky fire and blow it towards the hive because it calms the bees. Next, break the hive open with the aforementioned object. After you have extracted the comb, make sure to cut out the dark pieces and crush it through a strainer into a pan. Once the honey is strained, you can put it into containers for storage.
