Drinking too much cranberry juice can upset your stomach and cause diarrhea in the short time, and possibly cause kidney stones in the long term. This is because cranberries contain lots of oxalate, one of the primary components of kidney stones, so you shouldn’t drink more than 1 liter a day continuously. Also, you should keep in mind that if you are allegic to aspirin (as many people are), you should limit your intake of cranberry juice as it contains salicylic acid.
