The amount of water a person needs depends on activity, age, and climate among other factors. Dehydration can occur quickly, and without enough water, headaches will be a problem, not to mention your body needs the proper amount of water to function normally. Water is important to flush out your system, or you may develop painful kidney stones. Your body will tell you if and when it needs more water: thirst, headaches, sweat, and fatigue are all ways your body communicates its need for hydration. Whether you want to drink less water or not, your body will tell you what it needs.
