From all the research I’ve done, it seems that you have nothing to worry about. Weeping willows won’t grow into PVC pipes and will only really be able to penetrate older clay pipes.
Weeping willows no longer pose as large a threat to pipes as they once used to. Since newer water pipes uses PVC piping, there is less of a chance that the trees’ roots will enter the pipes and cause blockage and damage as they did before. However, as these websites suggest, it would be a good idea to take into consideration where the tree is in relation to the pipes for safe measure.
If there’s a pre-existing leak the willow will certainly follow it aggressively. it might be able to get in through such a weak spot and cause blockages or tears. However, a fully-functional PC pipe shouldn’t have an issue.
