Can we see environmental disasters using Google earth?

Because Google Earth does occasionally do updates of its photo database, you could use it to chronicle diminishing glaciers and other evidence of climate change. Some natural disasters which have occurred over time are easier to see on Google Earth. For example, look at the waters near land in Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay and you can see the pollution caused by cities and boating. You can zoom in on forests to see chunks of trees missing; usually the older-growth is a darker green than surrounding replanted trees.

    surprisingly yes,
the problem is that google earth uses satellite photos so they are not always up to date. there are some interesting occurances of disasters being discovered using google earth.
