Can we save a lot of water if we changed how we irrigated our crops?

    We can definitely save a lot of water if we change how we irrigate crops.  One example comes from Bolivia and Ecuador.  The farms here saved 100,000 liters of water simply by increasing the soil organic matter in one hectare of land.  I don’t know about you but I think that’s a lot of water!  Imagine if every farmer picked up this practice.  It’s also important to change the amount used to irrigate crops during seasons and even with changes in the weather.
