Scientists are working on sound-generated electricity. The power of sound is phenomenal and has proven to even cause internal bleeding in laboratory animals on the receiving end of such loud noise. There is an engine that operates via sound waves. The technology is being developed in New Mexico at the Los Alamos National Laboratory
Researchers in Korea are currently developing a method to use sound to power cell phones by converting sound waves into energy through the properties of piezoelectricity. Currently, however, using sound to make electricity is not possible or feasible on any large scale.
