Tidal power or hoydropower is what is used to harvest the power of the ocean into electricity. There are three major types of generators: the first is axial turbines, which operate in a fashion similar to windmills. The second are vetical and horizontal axis crossflow turbines which emply a helical shape, thus allowing them to be vertical or horizontal. The third are oscillating devices which have foils that generate power by being pushed such as with a rising and loxering tide.
