Can we freeze coral for the future?

There have been suggestions from scientists to freeze some of the remaining coral reefs in liquid nitrogen in order to preserve them for future generations. There is no evidence to suggest that this effort will not be successful, but it is an admittance that all other reef preservation efforts are failing and that coral reefs will continue to die off in the ever-warming waters of the oceans.
