Can we find natural magnets?

A certain type of iron ore, called magnetite can be naturally magnetically charged due to the circumstances of its formation from molten material. These rocks were known as lodestones and were how magnetism was first discovered. These rocks can still be found today but are fairly rare, so don’t expect to just stumble over one on a walk in the woods.
