We need to drink every day to maintain health, so we still need to drink about 2-4 liters of water per day. What can be done to help the environment is to stop drinking water in plastic bottles, which are filling up landfills. We can also cut out the overuse of water for different purposes than drinking, especially lawn watering and car washing, but also while showering, brushing teeth, and washing dishes.
