The answer seems to be leaning towards ‘yes’. US scientists at the National Science Foundation have been working on technology using grass clippings and other organic wastes such as cornstalks and weeds to produce biofuel. Scientists state that this organic waste biofuel will not require any changes in engine infrastructure and that they have already had much success.
